I want to learn a coding program, but I don't know which program to learn....any ideas? I basically want to learn coding because there is this program call BrainStorm USA and you have to write a essay telling them what you want to do in the future and show your work, I wanted to do coding because it'll get me into a good college. The prize for winning is 5,000 check or a computer. So anyone know a coding program I could learn? Java, C#, PHP, ect....

Visual basic is the easiest to learn if you don't know it already, it'll help you to learn other languages down the road as well because it will teach you the basic programming techniques

Learning VB before C# made it a total pain to switch to c#. It teaches you a bunch of things you don't want to do and that other languages don't use.
