There should be a limit.

1 to 2 weeks.

OMG! that would mean you couldn't buy/sell/trade

Eh... I don't like this idea for some reason. Maybe limit it to a few posts and a few weeks of being on the site. I straight up don't deal with selling my goods as of now, So I am fine. Either way I am legit so when I want to do business I'm sure people will see I don't scam.

How bout you just buy at your own risk and not be stupid if you think your getting a way better deal, or just know how to tell the difference between a scam and a legit sale.

just be smart whenever you make a transaction
look at the user
see if they're a sub, high post count, amount of time they were here, rep, how much you've seen them around the forums, etc.

as long as you are logical and actually think about the transaction and who its with you should be fine
