Reputation: 0 ![]() cBay Rating: | Ok so last night i posted an ad on craigslist trying to sell a banned xbox 360 for $110. So i check my email and someone replied to my ad.. "Am interested in buying your item and sending to my Grandson that recently traveled to abroad (FRANCE) for a research program. Also,I will pay you $250 for the payment including shipping of this item. This item is to be shipped directly from you to Grandson address at abroad via Usps Priority Mail International Service (CP) .My mode of payment is PayPal.Kindly close the auction and get back to me with your payment details so i can make the payment asap. Thanks" ok so my question is do you think this is a scam? i was only asking for $110 and this guy says he will give me $250. I've never really sold anything so any advise would be appreciated. thanks |

| Senior Member | I don't know, maybe he'll file a paypal dispute and get his money back and keep your xbox, not sure. But it is without a doubt a scam. 1. he says auction, is craigslist an auction site? No, copied and pasted from an ebay scam. 2. Grandma's don't use the internet, ok some do, but this guy is a scammer. 3. It's a pretty classic scam story 4. why pay retail price when he could buy one himself 5. why just say here's more than you are asking when most ppl are trying save, recession style Realistically someone would say I'll cover shipping blah blah blah, not heres over double your asking price. |
