Reputation: 1 ![]() | I was running theBug and i went to the bathroom. When I came back, the whole screen was full of colored lines and squares. I tried going into safe mode, but those squares and lines were still there. I tried uninstalling the bot, still there. Is there anyway to get rid of those colored lines and squares so it would be like normal? I just backed up my info and i did a system restore, but the same thing keeps happening ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by scorpio544; 07-05-2008 at 07:04 PM. |

If the video card is displaying bad things it will show up in a screen shot (if it is the graphics card). If it doesn't show up in the screen shot it is your monitor OR the cable that is going to your monitor in your laptop. = ) This happend to me once and it was due to overheating and screwed up the memory on the graphics. For me to fix it on mine I reformatted the computer. But you might be able to 'fix' it by deleting the driver for the graphics card, reboot, and then reinstall the driver. If you have a mac it is 99% a hardware problem that requires the replacement of the motherboard.

This only happened to me one time and I got to the windows logo screen (maybe its called the boot up screen, but its not the start menu button) without the squares or lines appearing. When at the boot up screen, the loading bar is half way done and those squares/ lines come back up.
