I am looking for a program that coverts .MKV files to WMV. I also don't want the file to be bigger than the .mkv file when converting because usually I convert something thats 100 MB and it turns to 500 MB, Anyone want to help, I need to convert 2 .mkv files that are 100 MB each, THANKS!!!!

try zamzar.com but i m not sure if it will work because it says up to 100mb

Try downloading Super Video Converter, Google it.

It supports everything as long as you have the codec for it.

It shouldn't, depends on if you're making the resolution smaller or not, or adjusting the audio.

If it has subtitles or two languages, it will also take those out and make it smaller.

Try WinAvi, that's what i use and with all its sizing options you should be fine.

Damn I'm converting Death Note Episode 36-37 with english subtitles, how can I stop it from cutting the subs? and does Winavi support .mkv?

Are the subs hardcoded or in a digital file in the same folder as the video?

Hi. There are lots of video converting programs. Try MediaCoder: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/download.htm
Download "MediaCoder 0.6.1.4045 (relatively stable version)." I know it supports subtitles, but I wouldn't know how to set it up. I'm sure you could figure it out.

If you are looking for a 1-click convert, I don't know of anything. However, since you only have two files, extract the streams (video, audio, subtitles) into separate components then convert with the tools already mentioned. Check out MKVToolnix to do the extract.

get alltoavi that program will convert anything to .avi and .avi is better that .wmv or goto videohelp.com they know everything and you can search for the tool you want.
