Does anyone know of any garageband equivalent for windows?

for those who don't know, garageband is music editin software for Mac's but not available for Windows OS, so im lookin for an equivalent that i can use for XP. uhhh freeware is what im lookin for, i found MixCraft but that shiz is expensive.

i know syllabus, its for any kind of instrument...from concert band, to marching band, to drum line, to rock bands, to rap bands, for anyone really... just search around and you should find it free somewhere

sony acid is good but its only free if you torrent it
