Default Google Chrome

I installed it yesterday, and so far love it (for the most part). But I notice that on some things I try to download, it'll say that it can be harmful to my computer, etc. is this a warning that I should actually consider, or does it say that for a lot of stuff I shouldn't worry about? For instance, I was thinking about CC Cleaner, another registry cleaner, and the newest Java. They are all supposedly safe, but I don't want to take any risks and haven't read anything about it before. Just trying to ease my apprehension, sorry if it seems like an ignorant question.

I'm just trying to improve everything on my computer right now.

It's just a cautionary thing so that people who are computer illiterate don't blame the browser for downloading malware. Any executable can be malware, so that's why they add that. You can just ignore it on the stuff you know is safe.

Thanks. I know it was a dumb question. I assumed the same answer you gave me, but I just wanted to double check. I know I'm not as bad as a lot of people are, but I definitely don't have the computer knowledge that a lot of people here do, and I trust the opinions here. I'll +rep you when I can give rep again today, thanks again.

to be honest , no software is 100% safe.
even MS send out security patch every week.
just install those common and popular software make by those companies with reputation will make you feel safer.
