I heard there are no working 3gs unlock software, but I found this:

Unlock iPhone 3GS 3.0 - iPhone Unlock software for ALL iPhones versions including iPhone 3GS 3.0, 2.2, 2.2.1 and Unlock iPhone 2.30 baseband! Unlock iPhone 3.0

Is this a scam?

yea, the only people who release the unlocks/jailbreaks is the iPhone Dev Team, and they have agreed to not release the 3GS unlock/jailbreak until after Apple releases 3.1 firmware.

No, because nobody can release it if their the only ones who discover and produce them. And secondly, other people have been selling their stuff all the time; QuickPwn, Pwnagetool, redsn0w, ultrasn0w, etc

3.1 beta was released to developers yesterday, its soon.
