well I got a mac g3 from ebay for a buck, but there is an administrator pass on it and the guy who sold it to me doesn't know the pass, I am pretty sure the os is 9.2

use a mac OS install cd/dvd

it will give you the option to reset the admin password

better off googling

I did use google, came up with that same way, which isn't working

won't let me use an osx disc to reformat unless i'm logged in, can some one tell me how to get into terminal or whatever it is called on a mac when starting up? I could just try to format from there

I can't get the hard drive out, it is an imac. Unless I can connect it to another pc with a usb cable or firewire it won't work.
