I wish I could run mac osx as a side OS on my computer. P.M. me if you know how please

. I heard windows 7 still look a lot like vista. I think the graphicy interface slows everything down. They should just keep it like XP, since XP owns!

What would be the point though? I'm pretty sure not a lot of programs work on it. Buggy as hell too.

It's 1000x better than Vista. Looks the same as Vista, but WAYY better.. it's what Vista should have been. I only ran it in VMware, and it is fast as hell

Might even be faster than XP, no joke.

well windows 7 is supposed to have all the same graphic interfaces, but use a lot less resources. but i'm sure it's really buggy

It should run on VirtualBox..

To run it on VMware/VirtualBox, just pick 'Other OS' when you're installing.. even if VMware detects Windows Vista, just keep going & install it. You should be fine. =]

You can install OSX, OSX 86 project has all the info you need. 7 looks like vista because they work on the gui last, there are pics of the newest version and its a lot different.

Also keep in mind there is still a full 2-3 years before it's out for real.

I'm sure they will release it before that though and make it as perfect as possible gradually over updates.

it is supposed to have more, don't know what yet because It hasn't finished downloading. can someone give me the tech specs if they are even released yet?

This release isn't a beta. Its for program developers to make it able to be compatible with it....unlike Vista where there were errors left and right...Windows 7 is made NOT to suck.

I think its an alpha version (pre beta) and they say its coming out next year.

im running the pre-beta right now on vmware. works great, im thinking about installing this on my other hard drive. it looks just like vista but is a lot faster.

I just hate how they've already pushed for another OS release so quickly after Vistas release, that they are becoming more like car companies, pumping out new product yearly instead of working with what you've made to make it better. Win2k in point, was around forever, still useful to this day. Vista is more or less the ME, holding people off until something of substance is released (XP) and from what Phrozen said, this new version.

Lol windows 7 wont be realeast for another year and a half at least. vista was in beta for like a year and a half almost 2.
