Tivo currently no longer offers lifetime service to new models, instead they offer a monthly or yearly service that you pay a fee every month or year. When TiVo first came out, they offered lifetime serivce, which means everything is paid for and you dont have to pay a monthly/annual fee. Lifetime service was only offered on TiVo Series 1 and TiVo series 2 models. Lifetime service is garentted for life. If the unit breaks, you ship it in and they fix it. Also you never have to pay for anytype of fee or service when using their product/service.

And im well aware they are overpriced, i posted the same thread on a different forum and didnt change the controller prices, so just offers are up for the controllers, and as usual discounts are available in bulk.

Like Panda said, you should drop your price for controllers. I'd say $20 tops and you might have some people buy.
