Hi All,

I built my very own GPT Site. I looks kind of crappy...i know... I built that to start promoting the site. Now that I have gathered a few hundred members I would like to re-design the site a bit. I was already in the middle of a contract with inxuity but I did not get the money on time to him due to not being from work (Recession affects all of us). Now that I have the money he does not need it right now... maybe in a future time we might do some business..

So here it is.. I need a site designer... no you are not going to earn a $1000 tonight for doing so.. My site is The Search Engine that Does at InfoWeb.net

If you are interested please reply here or send me a PM with your works and a quote of how much you might charge for the site.. and try to make it as detailed as possible (Change Fonts, Change Color, New Animated Banner, Meta Tags, SEO, etc.)

Its just that I barely have the time to do that and I lack those skills!

I'm not so good with coding, but I am good with photoshop and can make the banner and layout..I would just needs someone to cut it up and code it.

The banner however I can do for a small fee and just give you the image file for you to replace

Your BUYING a service so it would go into the BUY section not the selling section or the services section.

Let me take a moment to put my own thoughts out on this since he decided to include my name in the post.

---I did end the 'contract' with you due to me not needing the job anymore, but more-so for a plethora of other reasons I'll elaborate on. The situation 'as it stood' is this.

Our first business transaction (Header Img) was rough and rocky. Bad communication. Notable impatience on his part for even trivial amounts of time. Lack of consistent internet connection and/or aim connection. He'd miss half a sentence and come back with a 'well??........'. No real communication skills in my inpinion. I created the banner he's using. After multiple attempts to convince him to make it smaller (it's too damn huge), he declined. He also wanted it in specific height/width, I complied, got paid (slight delay but no complaints).

Second attempt at business transactions (Banners). SAA^ - Bad communication, bad connection/reliability, too-much-haggle attempt, bad practices (used my banners before paying me, took me I believe it was 2 1/2 days after I gave him img/psd's and they were in use before I got paid). Overall, bad 2nd impression.

Third attempt at business transactions (Website Design). SAA-AU^ - Very bad communication. More unreliable. Way too low of an understanding of design time, and effort. Low balling, and begging for it to be that low due to 'whatever situation there is'. Meaningless 'Hello??, You there?? at 3am knowing I'm Idle. Noting 'You must be online' as if I'm ignoring (insulting?). States publicly that he has paid me to do something I was never paid for, and then finally after 2 weeks decides he's going to send the money without telling me and I'll have had no potential-reconsideration myself.

He wants a prizelive design for 25 bucks, plain and simple. It's not going to happen. Saying 'He's been paid' and not paying me until two weeks later with no prior notification is no bueno. Knowing it took him two weeks to get this up (and according to him, sacrificing in order to earn it via other GPT sites) it leaves me with no conclusion other than if it's iffy now, the final payment will be iffy when I've already invested my time and effort.

I've had three instances of this occur as of late. Two, where whole site designs. I'm going to start charging for time wasted.

On top of this, you had other (2) people ask me/contact me about your 'situation', why not shoot me an email?.

I don't have time for the site anymore, no. But ultimately, I would have not done it for that price and the delay. At the time, I needed doe, so I was willing to lowball since you haggled so hard (desperately to a degree). But at this time, it wouldn't be worth the money if you raised the price. Please stop IM'ng me now that I've explained it all.

Coding ALONE, no design whatsoever, costs over $100. The design would be another $200 or so, more depending on the complexity.

First Transaction: I did have bad communication skills and still have them. AT&T is buying Centennial Wireless which is my ISP. They were upgrading antennas and doing some technical work and maintenance to Centennial (What CS Told Me). Due to this my internet connection is still kind of unstable. we might have a different Time Zone.. at times where he claims id IM him at 3 am I could have had a different time (Can't Confirm That). I do admit I had a slight delay in the payment.

Second Transaction: I asked is him to make some banners (468*60) for the site. After we agreed on everything (Price, Design,etc) I asked him for a preview of what he was doing. I saw it, liked it and started using it (Only Place Used was here at CN). He saw one of my posts that had the banner and started claiming that the artwork was his and that I didn't pay him. I apologized for the inconvenience.. I really didn't think it would bother to start using the prototype and wait for the final one. So he sent me the files of the final banners and I paid him. I did ask him for the original PSD (Photoshop File) part of the agreement for future editing on myself (If it was necessary). I never received the original PSD File and still ask him to send it, but I won't complain, I know if I ask him one more time he'll send it.

Third Transaction- This was supposed to be a re-design of my GPT Site. I did lowball him, I mean things aren't how they used to be. You can't really pay much during this time. So I asked for something low. He did give me a good deal...no regrets. I did state publicly that: " I have paid for the services of a site designer", that was to make it official to people that I was redesigning the site. But that bothered him, it's understandable.

So Ok.. I really didn't have in mind what a Site Design Cost, I have never done that before so I was in doubt how much was it gonna cost me. So I asked him for a quote of how much. He did that and I agreed (We did have a problem on the initial payment before any work was done. (He asked for 50% and I told id give him about 15%, but he said no, so I did as he wanted). I was not contemplating that I wasn't gonna be paid where I worked. Since I didn't get paid and wanted to comply with what we agreed, I told him that I was trying to get the money doing GPT Offers. I did however make a reasonable amount but not enough to pay him 50%. I get paid biweekly but the company was suffering a recession and I finally got paid like 45 days late. Since the agreement I really didn't talk to him cause I didn't want him to think that I wasn't gonna do the deal. So I eventually talked to 2 people that had really recommended him for the design and past work. They both talked to him and explained. I guess he understood. A few days later I finally IM'ed him. I explained everything about the late payment and that I was finally paid and that I would initiate the bank transfer in a few days.

When I initiated the bank transfer I IM'ed him right after. He was surprised and explain why he didn't want to do business with me.. All of the reasons are what he claims in the previous post. So after wards.. I tried to convince him to do it but to no avail he declined. I was then forced to try and find some else.

The offer was a bit higher than $25.

It included:
The main-site template
The Banner & Footer
The Menu & SubMenus
Graphic work used within the template of the main site itself
One graphic 'header' for email-statements

He was gonna charge me for doing this. I really don't know how much it would've cost me.

Yeah. Don't expect much for $25 bucks for a complete redesign. Minimum wage is what, $7? That's 3.5 hours of work. That's not a lot, especially if you want it to look good and not a half-assed attempt- you don't go into an expensive burger joint wanting a 10oz burger for a McDonalds price, you'll be lucky if you can even haggle a buck or two off. [The lowballing and haggling on this site is ridiculous all together.]

No offense, but I doubt anyone will be willing for such a low price. Sorry.
