i have a question... i modded my cousins samsung and i bricked that fucker..

if i were to buy a kreon drive, would it just be as easy as
taking old samsung drive, replacing it with kreon
and thats it??

would i have to spoof it?

I'm not POSITIVE. But if the 360's are anything like the old xbox's, you'll need to copy over the eeprom to match. I'm probably wrong (I've never touched a 360 before, but dealt with XB1's a lot). If I'm wrong, that'd be nice, and much less risky to just buy a pre-modded drive.

I'm def interested in the answer if I'm actually wrong.

Kreon's aren't even 360 dvd drives....
Kreon's are for computers so you can create backups of 360 games.

You really wont need Kreon drives anymore once 1.6 comes out with 0800.

You need to extract the dvd key from the old drive and flash it into the new dvd drive.

Thats true but firmware 1.6 could be months down the road and also who the hell wants to take apart their system every time they want to rip a game.

i have a couple of questions i want to buy a drive but in reality what makes the kreon drives different than any other drives and i want to mod my 360 would it take alot of work? just bought it friday so it is the newest version also if you are banned from xbox live can you be unbanned?

What drive do you have. You can flash every drive type now? If you have a lite-on just buy a x360 extractor to mod it and your done. Make the money back you spent on the extractor by modding yours friends for like $20 a pop.
