Arrow 2 postal money orders

Yeah I got 2 postal money orders via UPS today! But I forgot to take a screen shot before I sent them to my bank! Sorry! They where for $870 each! $1740! The crazy thing is I don't know exactly what I did to get the money! All I know is the guys name and address of who sent it! So I am going to write a letter to him and see what is was for! Again sorry I forgot to take screen shots. :/

be careful about spending the money immediately in case it gets disputed in legal actions.

Postal money orders are already paid for so I don't really see a problem if the m.o. is in his name.

and I call bluff because of no pictures, you can always take a ss of the amount of money in your bank account for proof :].

Yea but if he doesn't even remember why he's getting them then it doesn't hurt to stay cautious. Maybe the orders were sent without the funder's permission or something, idk. Its just really weird.

Hmm well when the funds are in my etrade acocunt I will make a screen shot of it! I never been to paidtoviewtube so didn't come from that. The money orders had my name on it and address also the person who paid for the money orders name and address. So if they are fraud etrade will catch it and take legal action on the person who sent them to me! The money orders looked extremely legit with multiple watermarks and a silver strip in them. They came in a big UPS envelope with nothing in it but the 2 money orders.

They are $870 not $840 sry LOL! If they are a scam etrade will fuckem up! Anyway how can I be scammed when the person has to put the money up front to make the money orders in the first place? It's not an over payment scam as I never paid for anything nor did I order any thing! LoL

It could be this http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/26/te...6iht-scam.html but I doubt it because these money order took very legit with 3 different water makes and a silver strip. Plus the guys full name and address is on the money orders. They don't look forged at all. We will see in a few days if they are or not will let you guys know!

Money orders can still be counterfeited, and they can still be cashed. It is not until the bank finds out it is a counterfeit when you get in trouble. I think it was stupid of you to cash in money you aren't even expecting.

dude I wouldn't have cashed those money orders there is a good chance they were fake and if you cash them your responsible for it not sure exactly what will happen if they are fake but good luck

nvm looked into it and its not looking good if they are fake got a quote from another forum from a dude with almost the same situation
Quote:
If you know it's fake, trying to deposit it is a criminal act. If you aren't sure and it bounces, your bank will deduct the money from your account or otherwise come after you for the amount of the money order./

I will. ETrade is pretty good about fraudulent things! So if they are I will expect a phone call! They will not take action on me, I don't think! At least I hope! LoL

I just got a post office money order yesterday in the mail from a guy that I sold some stuff to on ioffer.com. The money order was for $38. The guy at the Post Office said that the m.o "wasn't marked right". He asked me a lot of questions but he processed it and it went through and I got my money.

Wait, so if you get a Post Office Money Order do you have to cash it at a Post Office? Or can you take it to a bank or check cashing place?

PO money orders are different than a regular MO.

From what I have read, you CAN'T be scammed with a Post office MO.

If you weren't expecting them, then it's not the best thing to cash before finding out why they were sent. Don't you also find it a little odd that it wasn't just one larger MO? Money orders can be faked as well.

If you have a bank account, you can. Don't go to the check cashing places. They will charge you more money. In my case, I don't have a bank account.

I don't have a bank account and I don't want one. I use a check cashing place in town because they only take 1% from every check I cash. Usually that ends up being less than walmart charges.

But the guy who made/paid for them is in the USA as you can see from his address on the money orders. They are also United States Postal money orders.

That's usually all part of the scam. The scammers hire someone in the United States with a US address and the ability to get US money orders. This person might not even know they working for scammers.

edit: google "137 bowers street, jersey city, nj 07307". BIG RED FLAG?
