"Rock" (Deathcore/Metalcore/Hardcore) ..Normal rock like stuff like Nickelback pisses me off.

The lyrics have meaning, you need WAY more talent to be in a band than be a rapper. I know a guy who plays in some local band in New Hampshire, who has more talent in his pubes than T-Pain does in his whole body. Some rappers are good, and rap about stuff that has meaning like most rock bands do, but it's hard to come by nowadays with guys like Lil' Wayne and T.I.

It's hard to name just one, at the moment I'd say Asking Alexandria, Dance Gavin Dance, and A Skylit Drive.

But yeah, I do like guys like Eminem more than I like shitty stuff like Nickelback, Slipknot and so on.

Rock
Better beat, has a point, is not a random collection of computer sounds in the background mixed with people bragging about shit they didn't do.

I like classic rock and underground hip hop. Mainstream rap is for losers.

Well I like post hardcore, metal, and some country pop. Why? since I like to bang my head and scream hehe. Along with my favorite band I would say is BlessTheFall and my favorite country pop artist Billy Ray Cyrus.

Mainstream is just unoriginal. I can't stand stupid shit like "Ice Cream Paint Job". Give me 90's mainstream hip hop and the current underground stuff. I want music with substance. Its not a coolness factor, because I really don't give a damn about that. I just expect more from an artist if I am going to spend money on their stuff.

Btw- I saw Evidence, Brother Ali and Toki Wright a few nights ago.

It was great. The venue was less than 200 people so I was super close. My boyfriend and his friend got a picture with Evidence, and I got an album signed by Brother Ali. Their energy on stage was amazing. Can't think of any other artists as humble as those three.

Toki was good in person, but didn't hold the same presence on the album. It was only $10 for tickets so that was pretty cool.

Rock
Because it's generally more upbeat and "motivating"
No particular favorite artist though.

Rock, metal, death metal and all sub genres are good to me

All depends on the rap... most rappers today have no talent and rhyme about how fly they are and how much money and sex they get... and do it to computer generated sounds...

Thought the more underground rappers that HAVE something to rap about... is ok.. not so much my thing but respectable..

rock on the other hand is just great groups need to learn instruments and be in sync with each other.. learning notes and keys... a lot more difficult to do

That's just my opinion

You can't dance to rock music, can you? Oh, and jumping up and down and throwing up devil horns isn't dancing. So, yeah, think about that.

I've thought about it and have come to the conclusion that though you can dance any way you want to music, the dance won't always fit said music. You don't see people waltzing to thriller, now do you?

What does that have to do with anything? that's a obvious statement because it don't fit... back in the day that's what people danced to..

people mosh/2 step to rock... and people pop lock and drop it or whatever you call it to rap/hip hop

I don't judge dance how you want to what you want

I'm admitting that you can dance to rock, but if the dance doesn't fit the music, you're going to look stupid doing it.
