I want to get laptop, but Vista has pissed me off to such a degree that I've seriously considered switching to Apple. I'm going to keep using a PC desktop, but I'm in the market for a laptop. I'd only use it for light gaming, as I don't like gaming on a laptop, so it would basically be just web surfing, music, documents, etc. Help appreciated.

alot of people say apple but only because they think it looks cool.
I too dont really know but sway more towards Pc.
You can dual boot xp and oxwhatever on a mac but you can do the same on a decent pc with intel chipset.
Mac is good for video editing and all that but they are over priced. and they have a sort of a monopoly on there products.
Windows you can find more open source products and since there are more people to make software and hardware for it you can usually find the same and just as efficiant products for windows.

PC. Cost less and you can always just format the hard drive and boot whatever you want onto it.

I'd be embarrassed to carry around a white laptop.

i say pc more though the macbook is very good for programming and stuff.

well i like both os system but i would have to go with windows mainly because i work with it ever since i was little and im very used to it, but if your very good with editing with photoshop or video editing i would go with Mac. Adobe was basicly build for mac and not pc.

PC cheaper, I have beta tested Vista SP1 its much better and if you have to get one with XP on it.
