So you use $1 of electricity to make $0.36

I guess it makes sense when you aren't the one paying the bills, but I'm sure you can talk to your mother and tell her to pay you 50 cents a day and you won't keep your computer on all day.

If you're worried about electricity. When you aren't using your computer just turn off your monitor and speakers and unplug any other peripherals that aren't necessary.

A monitor or a high-end graphics card are the two biggest energy hogs of a computer.
