You need a credit card, but you won't get charged. All you need to do is cancel auto renewal.

If you want a free domain, visit the website, make sure you uncheck anything extra they offer, just take the one that says $0.00. Make sure the total always reads $0.00. After you get your domain, go to where it says autorenewal, uncheck that. Now you should have a free domain. I've registered a few domains, just redirected the domains to an original site.

No problem, you can register as many domains as you want, just use a simple web proxy. So if you want 10 domains, you'll need 10 web proxies, switch for each. Make sure you turn off auto renewal, always double check, you don't want to get charged. Also, you can use the same address and information for every account that you make.

hmm... it worked for me twice, one was on a diff't IP but i only got a free domain both times, no hosting included...

I signed up for this last week. I was able to register a domain name for free. I got onlyoneshirt.com . I don't have anything up on the site yet, but I plan on opening some type of t-shirt store.

I didn't get any web hosting for free.

Also, they did put a temporary $1.00 "verification" hold on my PayPal account. The $1 has been released back to me now, so it is truly free.

Another trick is if you run out of credit card's to use, use the paypal plugin to generate another credit card number. Always worked for me on this deal from register.com.
