How to Make Silly Putty

Silly putty was invented by James Wright who was trying to create synthetic rubber during the second World War. Now almost everyone is familiar with the amusing goo found in a plastic egg.For some easy fun with your kids, try this simple recipe to create your own home-made silly putty.
Steps

1. Put a quarter cup of liquid starch in a small bowl.
2. Add about half a cup of Elmer's glue and mix together with your fingers.
3. After mixing, add a few drops of food coloring and keep mixing it in.
4. Enjoy!

Nice! I did that way back in the 3rd grade, I'd be fun to do it again.

Another way is:
add borax to water until it won't dissolve anymore (do this in an emptied soda bottle).
Pour some glue into a cup
add your food dye to color it
Mix the dye into the glue
Add the liquid from the borax bottle.

We do this as an experiment with kids for the chemistry outreach program we do.

no but people at my school are stupid. i used ti sell zip-ties till i ran out =[ candy too that sells
