Default High cpu usage on vista help!!

i got a laptop with vista home premium about a week ago and i go to start it up today and i noticed that my cpu is 100% at startup (i have one thing that starts up at the beginning) so i turn it off and let it cool down for a couple hours then go to turn it up and its still 100% i know it cant be a virus because im using norton and so far it has blocked some viruses.. how would i fix this thanks

Norton sucks so you quite possibly DO have viruses..

Also since you said Norton has blocked a few I am assuming one of the viruses slipped by.

NOD32 is my favorite since it doesn't use much CPU at all.

Kaspersky is my second favorite but isn't as light as Nod32.

Used to have Norton but it sucked ass.

My favorite firewall is Outpost Firewall Pro but NOD32 practically works as a firewall itself!
