Default Lifechat headset help PLEASE!

I just got my headset on friday, I went to see hellboy 2 came back home and it was here. I tried it on and installed the software and it worked.. now when I restarted my computer it wont work anymore . Can you help me :s...

keep unplugging it and plugging it back in until it works That usually works with me

yeah i was having that problem but you can switch between computer speakers and the lifechat easily.. just go to the bottom right of your computer look for the speaker and double click it something should pop up then go to options then properties and under mixer device it should give you a choice between your computer speakers and microsoft lifechat
p.s make sure you install the software

We did that but, it just makes this crackling noise. How do you reinstall the USB audio drivers?

you have unistall the software start>control panel>add or remove programs> it should give you a list of all the programs installed on your computer (may take a while to load) look for and click on microsoft lifechat then press remove and it will take you throught the uninstallation process then just install it again but be sure not to plug in the headset until the end when it tell you too :thumbup:
