Reputation: 9 ![]() | I am moving to go to grad school and since I will be in an apartment, space will be limited. One thing I was wanting to do was get a new monitor for my PC. Right now I have a 17" CRT monitor. What advantages do LCD have over CRT and what should I be looking for in a monitor. I will be buying probably from newegg.com that's where all my PC parts came from (built my own). Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Reputation: 9 ![]() | the little experience i have with LCD monitors was that you can't see anything on them from an angle and they are darker and easier to break THat is why I was asking what I should look for so that I don't repeat that experience Here are the two I am looking at right now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824254030 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009119 Are either of these significantly better than the other?

| Senior Member | I'd recommend a widescreen lcd. If you can wait there are usually some really good deals on black friday at best buy. Last year they had 19inch widescreen's for 100 bucks...22 inch for 150.
