| Senior Member | get an amd dual core or a similar intel chip, wow you have a floppy drive? it seems your good for HDD space, if your pc is slow try adding a little more RAM or delete some unwanted programs but I doubt your pc is slow since you have like 3 GB of RAM and 300+ HDD space left |

| Senior Member | Yeah, can't have any more ram since XP will only recognize 3gb max. But, I'm good on space... I used belarc advisor to get those specs out and I had to delete half of it cause its all the programs on my computer which is like 100+ =D

However, Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition supports 32 GB of physical RAM and Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition supports 64 GB of physical RAM using the PAE feature. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system...AE/PAEmem.mspx Get a quad core or wait a couple of years, new better stuff will be out. Such as the dawn of USB 3.0, DDR3, etc |

Reputation: 9 ![]() | I think quad-core is overkill, especially since apps have to be written to use them; I do not know of any games that use more than 2 (doesn't mean they aren't out there though). Haven't read much on the AMD dual-cores, but I got an Intel Core 2 Duo last year and it has been a great CPU. Power consumption is a lot lower as is heat. Most overclock really well, but I stuck with the stock speed. |

Reputation: 1 ![]() | Go with the dual core amd 6600... unless you wanna go with black edition processors ment for insane over clocking....don't waste your money on the quad cores until they get them stable...and got with AMD...look for some memory like OCZ or Patriot Extreme, and most of all upgrade your board, I see it is an ASUS which is good, but go with the asus lifestyle boards, aweome for overclocking... |
