Reputation: 16 ![]() cBay Rating: | Also depends if you plan on running linux alot, if so go with nVidia if not go with whatever you like but the New ATI cards a pretty nice and ATI rarely has the driver issues that nVidia has in windows. Also nVidia has way more problems with there hardware failing lately not sure why. |

Reputation: 7 ![]() cBay Rating: | And you can't run DX11 games on nVidia cards, at least until Fermi is out. So yeah, check what's most important in the games you'll run on it, and then decide which accordingly.

The card should be released this week Ati 5850 beats the gtx 285 and is about $80 cheaper @ $260 Ati will also give you DX11 and 3 video out physx isnt worth it, only a handful of games use it If your looking for a sub $100 card, the ati 4850 and 9800gt are good choices | |

Maybe because I've been using ATI for a while, and it's not that nVidia is bad or anything, but personally I've been feeling quite comfortable with ATI for a while, especially now that their drivers don't seem to make the whole system crash every other hour. |
