It depends on the price. I would go for either.

Also depends if you plan on running linux alot, if so go with nVidia if not go with whatever you like but the New ATI cards a pretty nice and ATI rarely has the driver issues that nVidia has in windows. Also nVidia has way more problems with there hardware failing lately not sure why.

Yeah
I agree with ATI.
But nVidia seems to be more smooth.

And you can't run DX11 games on nVidia cards, at least until Fermi is out.

So yeah, check what's most important in the games you'll run on it, and then decide which accordingly.

I'd go with Nvidia because they seem to have the best "bang for your buck" kind of cards right now like the 9000 series.

Ati is the best right now in price/preformance

Ati 5770 will be around $165 and it looks like it has the same power as the 275gtx. The card should be released this week
Ati 5850 beats the gtx 285 and is about $80 cheaper @ $260

Ati will also give you DX11 and 3 video out

physx isnt worth it, only a handful of games use it

If your looking for a sub $100 card, the ati 4850 and 9800gt are good choices

Honestly, I'd go with the best guy, the most bang for the buck. But I'm running an Nvidia card from a couple years ago, 8800 GTS, was like $300+ at the time, still holding strong and decent graphics.

Personally, ATI.

Maybe because I've been using ATI for a while, and it's not that nVidia is bad or anything, but personally I've been feeling quite comfortable with ATI for a while, especially now that their drivers don't seem to make the whole system crash every other hour.
