Can anyone recommend me a good headset to use on steam/vent/teamspeak; for around $80? I'm sick of using this damn lifechat because the mic keeps breaking.

Well I'm thinking about these Amazon.com: Earforce HPA2PC Headphone(usb): Computer & Accessories I heard Turtle beach was good but I have no personal experience with them.

I have this Amazon.com: Plantronics GameCom 777 Surround Sound Gaming Headset with Dolby Technology: Electronics its actually a very good durable headset, I have dropped my and tugged the cords plenty and it has yet to break. I have had it for about a year now. It kinda echoie at first but after awhile that goes away,it has very good sound besides that and everyone on teamspeak, vent, and skype tell me I have the clearest mic they ever heard.

dont listen to those reviews those people must have only used the headset for a few days because most of the problems they had, I easily adjusted to, it just takes a few weeks for everything to work smoothly. They really are a nice headset, everyone I know who has tried mine loves it and a few even bought this same headset plus is fairly affordable.

I've had this for 5 months, they pick up sound beautifully, is durable and most importantly extremely comfortable. I've had problems with other gaming headsets with my ears, and this fit perfectly.

Thanks for the input, but not really digging the usb soundcard because of lack of linux drivers.

i always found headsets to be pretty crappy no matter on the price i am using sennheiser headphones with a stand mic and will never use a headset again and if you do spend around 80 dollars get quality like sennheiser ive had mine for 2 years now and i abuse the shit out of them and still work perfect and no marks of abuse

im using 280HD Pro they are the best!
