Reputation: 93 cBay Rating: | With $1500, you should be able to get an i7 rig. You can also wait till i5 comes out and see how that turns out. Previews show its just as good as i7 at a cheaper price. An i5 rig should only cost $200 more. ($200 cpu and $200 mobo) |

| Errr, I can get you a kickass rig for $1500. Are you SURE you want to spend that much? Unless you are doing some very high end gaming you definitely won't need that much. I threw together an i7 rig for OG for $900.

I think I am gonna go a little cheaper than $1500, I was reading up a bit and I really don't think I would ever need an i7. I think a quad core would suffice me for a few years. Gonna go with intel though, not amd. I'll update in a few. | |

Reputation: 81 cBay Rating: | I have an i7 rig that I built for about $1150ish (with a 4890 and dual screens though), so if you go with that video card I'm sure you could get a nice i7 rig around $1k
