Plug an ethernet cable into your router, then plug the other end into your computer? Is that what you're talking about?

My wireless is connected on my p.c. but i want to connect to the ethernet since its faster.
My Modem has Wireless built in and I have a Wireless Adapter hook in to my computer when I used for wireless but now I want to use the ethernet cable not wireless
Its Connected.

your probably not going to see much of a speed difference on the internet, if you are transferring large files withing the intranet you will though.

there is no reason to do this because the speed of the internet that u have is less than 54 Mbit /s (this is the max speed of the wireless*) so u dont need to be connected with a cable...




*The signal strength has nothing to do with the connection speed

Well most people will not see a large difference. Both wireless G and N have speeds more than quick enough to support your internet speed. G can handle up to 54 mbps (although you could expect ~20.)

So I saw a noticeable difference because of my speed? Or could it have been because of my crappy router?
