Default Computer Hardrive Space

Hey im not sure if this is even possible or not but never hurts to ask. I have a new HP laptop and love music so put like 20k songs onto my laptop now I have no space left 139.83 GB used out of 140 . Is there any possible way for me to add more space or clean up other things on my computer to get space?

Thanks,

V

I'm somewhat of a music buff and I don't have nearly that much music >.> just delete some of it or get an external hard drive and save the music on there

You're like me, but I love porn. Get an external HD or get an enclosure for a spare you have laying around.

If you can't aford to replace your drive, and you don't want to give up any songs, use a program that does batch re-encoding, and encode all your songs to a slightly lower bit rate. A small change in size, say 20% will not impact audio quality that much (do it to the songs that you don't care that much about) but multiply that by 20,000 songs, and you could get back 30+ Gigs!

Check out Cdex (google it). It's open source (= free). It's interface is a little clumsy, but I use it frequently. I'm sure you can search for other compressors, but this is the one I use and am familiar with.

Use SpaceMon (google) for detection/removal of huge files. Otherwise I'd do the general File Search of files in excess of 1gb, etc etc. Otherwise, nah lol.
