As the discussion yesterday in the shoutbox, here is the video for my 46" TV being able to display a Windows XP Operating System via Laptop. :w00t:

Dont know what the wire is called, but oh well =D :thumbup:

It probably hooked up through a vga cable or s-video cable.

The TV is meant to do that. Hence why the VGA port is labled "PC" in the back of the Bravia.

you know i wasnt actually trying to show that it's possible, it is possible, i just wanted to show how clean it looks since some people said the quality isnt that great with the tv and laptop shit...

nice, i hook up my desktop to my hdtv using composite cables.

high def tv always look better than desktop because their pixels are much sharper.

S-video will look like crap since you will only be passing a 480i signal (standard tv resolution). Use either a vga, component, or HDMI.

I've done it on my 72" widescreen plasma hdtv its pretty cool. I usually use my 36" tv though. It has a VGA connector on it making it really good quality.

Pixels are actually smaller on desktop displays. Much higher dpi.

Just think about it, you can get the same full HDTV resolution that you would get on a 46" on a 24" lcd. Its just that you are usually farther away from your TV.

Actually, its relatively good if you hook it up to a boob tube to watch downloaded movies. But for anything else, it sucks.
