Please critique the logo for my new website. Any advice/criticism/comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

No, it's not meant to be a banner. I'll be using this logo on banners and stuff though.

The background will probably be different on the final site. It's not meant to be original or final.

I think that it might look a little bit better with the wording centered (Vertically only... Horizontally is fine...).

Other than that, it looks nice.

I don't get what you mean? It is centered.

The tagline is purposely a bit below the text instead of right underneath it, if that is what you're talking about.

i like it and i find the gray on black makes it look hypnotic.
The slogans alright, but to be honest its not that catchy.

Make money = 2 words
Save money = 2 words
Earn Prizes = 2 words

Parallelism.

I'm not sure yet. I've made a couple of different designs for the website, but I think the background is going to be white. I think I'm going to go for something very clean like the brand new MSN site: MSN.com

I was originally going to go for something like that, but the way it is now seems to roll of the tongue better. Having the last one 3 words long kind of says "this is the end of the statement". I don't know if that makes sense. Imagine a voiceover guy in a commercial saying the tagline and maybe that'll show you what I mean.

Also, the "Get free stuff." part isn't going to be only about earning prizes. I'm also going to blog about free things people can send away for like free samples and promotional items and crap. Those kind of blogs bring in a lot of traffic.

Another thing I was wondering is if you guys think I should put slashes through the zeros so people know they are zeros and not o's. I was thinking of doing that but it looked dumb when I tried it.

Like what The Ninja said, I think it would definitely look better vertically centered. What I mean, and I'm pretty sure he means, is the entire block of text, not just the "cashd00d", so that the dead space between the two of them would be right in the middle of the logo. Also, the whole "everything. typed. lowercase." is pretty stupid IMHO, and way overdone, and kinda hipsterish. Some good old fashioned capital letters might look better.

I still don't get what either of you mean by vertically centered. If you're talking about the space between the logo and the tagline, I put that much space in between on purpose. And it doesn't bother me if the lowercase thing is overdone because the all caps thing is overdone too.

Who cares if it's kind of hipsterish? I want the site to be "trendy". I want traffic to come to the site. I was going for the "web 2.0" look.

edit: I figured out what you mean by vertically centered. I tried that and it looked way off. The name is supposed to be the focus, that's why it is dead center and then tagline is secondary. Most likely, they will not appear like this anywhere anyways. The tagline will probably be opposite of the name on the page.

It is nice, but sorry, it's very generic and unoriginal. I haven't seen many new websites use just the basic "web 2.0" look anymore. If you want some inspiration and trends, look here - Logo Design & Branding Trends 2009 - or just type in logo trends in google. What is the color scheme of the website? I would get rid of the pinstripe background. I mean, you could keep it, but there's nothing to support it. It's just there just to be there. Anyway, that's my critique, take it or leave it.
