i have a banner which one click on it does do anything but when i click on cn it takes you to page what is the code for that

Ah alright, I see what you're saying. Yeah, what Ryutso said is the HTML version.

Ryutso nailed it on the head. That code is correct.

If you want a "Top of Page" code. Make the url "#".
