I want to get some good coolers for my 360 to prolong it's like and to prevent red-ringing. I've heard and read a lot of mixed reviews on the subject of cooling. I also seen a lot of people saying that even external coolers can void ur warranty (Probably BS Unless...?)

Anyways

Question 1: Will an intercooler help?, does it cause voltage issues and overall is it possible to do more harm than good? Can it cause melting/cracking etc. Also I am getting an EX not the shitty first gen with plastic.

Question 2: Im also thinking about getting a glowstand but I read reviews where people said that the main fan is on the bottom and by having a vertical stand with a hard surface it can prevent it from working fully.

Money is not an issue as long as it's from amazon.

I really only want to know if they can be BAD for the console really, even if it's slightly bad I need to know, if it's good even a little I will definitely still get it unless their is a more effective product that serves the same purpose but helps even MORE. If they are both good I'll get both but once again let me know which are the best/safest.

If you guys could help answer questions and if possible recommend me better products than these two (that is if they are bad/ others are better )it would be a big help!

Oh and I almost forgot I don't want to install any coolers which is why I prefer the third party externals.

Are you sure? I read that it plugs into xbox power and u plug the brick to the intercooler and then the power goes from the brick, power the intercooler and powers your xbox?

Also I'm talking about the EX which is the newer model in which they supposedly addressed all the probs. Do you know which 1 ur friend had?

Dude you don't need any of this stuff. And for gods sakes do not use the nyko intercooler.

You don't need it.
The only accessory you need is the play & charge kit, which I believe you are already getting.

Just make sure your 360 isn't blocked off from ventilating properly and you'll be fine.

Well is there anything that can benefit my console with no adverse effects. I guess I'll stay away from the nyko too. How about the glowstand?

My best advice is to put a fan on each side of the console. :lol:

JK but I don't think you really need all that stuff because I've played my 360 for almost 24 hours straight with no harm to it at all, but every console is different in some way or another so take precaution.

trust me, my bro plays a friggen lot, he'll play 8 hours straight for 5 days and we havnt got the rrod and we've had it for over a year, still no rrod, lol

basically ur fine, just keep it whr it vents out like it shuld and u shuld b fine

That's how I thought as well until this weekend. Mine just rrod on me saturday.
Was watching the entire season 2 of heroes, all the sudden my xbox locks up. Go to reboot it and i'm gettin RROD. loll.

No worries though. Just gonna do the xclamp fix.

I had mine for 2 years before I got the RRoD. Basically, at some point, it's inevitable to get - some just get it sooner than others.

The laptop thing is kinda stupid, if you opened up the xbox, you'd see all the air would be blowing into is a chunk of metal. If you really want to get more air flowing, do the 12v fan trick. And the penny mod works well too, I fixed my xbox a year ago that had red lights with those 2 mods and it never came back

Do you have the First Intercooler or the Intercooler EX, because I'm not sure which one people are referring to when they say it burns up your console, i read on ign the the first one had a metal housing which didnt conduct very good and sparked and eventually burned you consoles backside, they said the ex fixed that by switching to a metal insulated housing for the AC thing

Also if my 360 RRODs I can just send it in for a new elite right? No trouble since it's their fault?
