Bungie is releasing a new game and some people are stating it is going to be a new Halo just without MC. They are having a announcement tomorrow at E3. There is a site with a countday and a podcast from Bungie talking about it.

Might want to check into it.

Meh, I already know what the announcement is.

Marathon is a shooter they made for the Mac back in the 80s before they hit it big with Halo. They are recreating it for this gen of consoles. They also may be announcing another game considering they are multi-game studio now.

FPS on consoles are a lot inferior to FPS's on a pc. First of all, the hardware on a 360 or ps3 is crap compared to a modern day gaming pc. Second of all, the mouse+keyboard is alot better than a pos controller. Aiming with a mouse is a lot quicker and more accurate than with a controller. Its impossible to get headshots with a controller. That's the reason why a lot of console FPS's have a bs auto-aim and pc shooters don't.

You talk as if what you're saying is fact but really it's just your opinion which many would disagree. In the last five years the Xbox platform has gotten more unique users in the FPS genre then the PC not to mention Halo 3 is now the most competitively played FPS game in the world (taking the title from counter-strike).

Saying the 360 doesn't handle FPS games well is ridiculous when they have so many shooters that sell so amazingly. After all, Halo 3 is the second best selling game of all time and I doubt if the controls were not good people wouldn't be coming back to it day after day.

My hand is too twitchy so I can't use a mouse to play a controller is so much more controlling XD

I was not saying that PC's are more popular than consoles. More people play on consoles than on PC's, mainly because the people on consoles aren't able to realize that a PC can outperform it. I don't own a console, but I played on one and it was impossible to aim, thats why the developers introduced auto-aim. Also, the shooters on consoles are inferior to PC's. One of the reasons is because of the lack of teamwork compared to PC games where this is a lot of teamwork like for example Battlefield 2 and the upcomming game Operation Flashpoint 2. Consoles are also unable to handle some pc games because of their weak hardware like Crysis. The developers themselves said that it would be impossible to port Crysis to the consoles without stripping it and dumbing it down.

This is true. The Halo series might have redefined the shooter genre in the world of consoles, it is nothing special compared to the myriad of PC games on the market. Games like unreal and quake are easily higher quality games compared to console shooters such as Halo or GoW. I'll admit that Halo is a pretty good console shooter, and its even fairly amusing, but it is definitely not better than most PC shooters.
