Well, Id try to get the Homebrew Channel if I were you, it's alot easier to use. I softmodded my Wii, I have the Homebrew Channel and I just run Backups with the Backup Launcher App. If I were you I'd just go buy The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, an SD Card, and go download Homebrew Channel.

Oh yeah, I do already have the Homebrew Channel.

I can run just about any game on this wii, but not the ones that I mentioned.

Make sure its not a newer nintendo wii the new nintendo wii's have a disk reader that will not run backups via the CD's (disks) but will run off usbloader just fine (external harddrive)

you can tell by the serial number on the console its also on the box for example mine is LU39 I can not run backups via the disk only thru my external hard drive.

Yeah I have an older Wii. You could probably downgrade the System...but I don't really know how to do that.

My wii is a few years old and runs the backups from the disks just fine, just not guitar hero 5 or band hero. I think there are some other IOS that I have to install, but I'm not sure how to do it.

All my games are on different disks that I burned on DVD-Rs on the computer.

Nilla, thank you, maybe I'll try the Softchip. I just hate to do something and mess up the wii because all of the other backed up games play just fine.

Those 2 games need a special firmware installed on the Wii. It takes about 5 seconds. Check out Wiiso.com for more Wii stuff. This is not advertising, its help...

I just mounted Guitar Hero 5 on a Sony DVD-R, I'm going to check if it works.
