I want to buy or get one of these two console. But there a lot of differents opinions about this.
So i want to hear all the opinions and reason of selecting one of this two ones.

this debate would never end.

360 has more games and a larger online population as well as a great marketplace.

ps3 has some unbeatable exclusives (uncharted, god of war, ratchet and clank) and the online community seems to be more mature. it also has a lot less restrictions than the 360 (able to upgrade to any laptop hard drive that suits you, install a different OS on it, free online play, etc.)

as of recent, ive been playing my ps3 more mainly because of uncharted 2.

,, but i dunno what to do.. I am trusting in lockerz to get the ps3.. Because here in Argentina a gaming pc is very expensive.

If you don't already have an Xbox, I would get that. The selection of games, multimedia, and online experience are awesome. If you already are enjoying an Xbox, might as well grab the PS3 for BluRay and the exclusive titles on there.

I can't speak about the PS3, but the 360 is a multimedia power house. I actually watch streamed media through my 360 easily as much as I watch regular TV, which is a lot. Download movies, tv shows, whatever, stream to TV through 360, turn on surround sound, viola. Before that I had to use an S Video cable and transfer files to my laptop, move my laptop near my tv, and then plug in my extra set of computer surround sound speakers, waste of time too much work. And 360 is fairly easy to mod, then dl and burn games, you can still play on live, they say there's a risk, I'm doing fine and many others are as well.

RRoD. The fact that Microsoft put out a piece of hardware with such huge flaws is unforgiveable to me. My friend is on his 6th console, his FUCKING 6th! The failure rates are just totally unacceptable. For this simple fact I would never buy a 360, getting one free is a different story, but I would never give MS a dime for their shitty engineering. I don't care if the failure rates are now at a decent level with the new Jasper units, the early years are just too much to ignore.

Now before someone starts yelling the F word( fanboy) I just have to say it's totally about them putting out an inferior piece of hardware. Both systems have their good games.

TPain, that might be the case for you but not for other 360 users. A lot of people have more problems with 360 and such rather then the ps3. However, PS3 online really sucks. I have a ps3 and I can give my information on it.

I've played both Live and PSOnline and I can confirm the statement that people on PS3 are way more mature. A lot of little kids love to get xbox's, especially for Halo. However, the connection, communication, servers, all of that for PS3 really suck. If you are going for online play, pick Live you can always find mature friends and play anyways. Sometimes its fun to beat on little kiddies asses anyways.

Both have their good games, its more about preference (to the Idiot above who said 360 has better games). It is true they have more games, but PS3 doesn't "Lack" good games.

Also, the Ps3 slim is super pointless. They took out the fans, and made it smaller. Where were you gonna bring it anyways? Look at the WII.... usless. lol. You might as well get a fat one for a little cheaper and some game bundles.

If you are going for online play, pick the 360. If you are going for casual play, then go for PS3. That's my opinion.

Also you'll find more people have mics with the 360. I never got any good use out of my PS3 and sold it. Sure it may be a more powerful system, but all of my friends have 360s and I play online. I like to enjoy playing games and I enjoy playing with my friends....so 360 is the way to go for me at least.

Also, you can mod the 360.

PS3bluray-Awesome looking movies, and a limited amount of awesome looking games (Uncharted 2), before 2009 they look like xbox360 basically..
How many games
Ps3 has sucked the penis they really lack when in comes to numbers.(I dont own a 360)
Exclusives-Ps3 wins God oF war bitches along with MAG,KZ2, Demon souls, MGS4,Uncharted 1(2) and more (MAG and GOw3 is not out)
Servers-Its not really the PSnetwork,its the game servers Killzone 2 use peer to peer servers (if someone has a shitty internet connection everyone suffers) But games like MAG play flawless and yeah ive played the BETA and still am.. its like a 6month BETA. (They have set up individual servers around the world and so its only your internet connection that matters)
MIcs-If you want jackass annoying children or some bitchy teenager Xbox360 is for you, although ps3 doesn't have anyone that has a mic .. you might find one every century.
Size Matters- PS3 has 50GB games meaning exclusives have a load more content then Xbox360s standard 7.5 GB disc.. Obviously a win right shmere.
Online Payment fees-Ps3 doesn't have them and thats one of the main reasons i got it
Mod games-if you know how you can get free games and that'd just be awesome Xbox360 only
Time-ps3 has been around less then the xbox360 and I wouln't be surprised if a 720 came out
Backward capabilities- My ps3 can play ps2 games and that is sweet, xbox360 can play xbox games i think. -I believe they took away that feature for the ps3 :/ sucks-
Lifetime span-Ps3 wins

My 360 finally bit the dust 2 days ago. That's Exactly 2 years of use, Seriously. o_o pretty good imo. Not like those n00bs who get rrod in 3 months or w/e

Depends on what you think about both consoles. What do you like better first party wise? Don't listen to the people who say buy a 360/PS3 because it has better games because you're not sure yourself on what these "better games" are.

PC > 360 = PS3. Depends on the type. If you want RPGs and the like go with the PS3. If you want FPS shootan games go with the 360. Although both consoles cater to both sides each tends to lean on either side of the scale more-so. Now if you build a computer, which can be decently built at around 500 dollars then you wont have to worry. PC pretty much has everything you see on the 360 except for a few exclusives which pretty much eventually get ported over when they die down on the 360. And the PS3 also has a decent plethora of platformer style games if you are into that. The marketplace on the 360 hands down is better, but the media center aspect is good on both consoles as well. Don't get a 360 unless you are getting live as a ton of the media functionality is lost without an account that can use such features as Netflix, or video codec support for most xvid/h.264/avi encoded files and obviously the marketplace. Another upside to PS3 is no online fees. That RROD garbage is not a deciding factor, PS3 units fail as well, I think its called Yellow Light. I've had my Elite since it was first released and not one problem. My brother had a launch 360 that failed after a month and was covered under warranty but since 1 month after 360 launch he has not had any problems with it. Just be wise 360 can overheat easily if stored badly.

TL;DR Build a PC or choose a console based on the games you like and the media functionality.

Well that also really isn't modifying it, as it's intended to run linux. I was mainly talking about for free games though.

To make Live more like PS3, just turn off all voice chat lol, since no one on PS3 has mics.

I love the Xbox 360, except for the fact that all the online players are 10 year olds and throw pissy fits when they get there ass kicked. They also like to spam your inbox with weird ass msgs and vote you out of games for no valid reason.
