2 Questions:

Will it blend?

Backwards compaitibility? Really this is the only reason I would ever think of buying a PS3. and I'm leaning more towards the 60gb model which I can probably find on ebay or craigslist.

Old one looks nice but is very heavy and, well, large. But it had some cool features like the touch screen buttonless controls. The slim PS3 is good for people short on money I suppose, can finally shut people up about being so much more than 360. Free internet play and a blue ray player makers the PS3 such a great system. All it comes down to is who has the best games, and if everything you would want to play is on 360 AND PS3, the PS3 is the way to go for sure. But staying on topic the slim should definitely see an increase in PS3 sales and I hope it all works out well.
