Default how do i bridge my connection for my 360

ok well i just got another 360 but i dont want to buy another wireless adapter and was wondering how i can bridge my 360 using my computer.

this is how it is

my computer is connected to my wireless network using a USB adapter.then from that my 360 would be connected using an Ethernet cable that's attached to the back of my pc.

This is bad but i tried

and when i right click on "wireless network" under the "Connect to" tab it has an option to bridge the connection but it gives me an error

THIS ONE TO BE EXACT

so can anyone help

im using SP2 and windows xp if that helps

Its very simple you need 2 ethernet cards on your machine but if you do just do this

Copy both of them like this under my network and there is a option to bridge it do that and you will be set.

in your case you should be able to bridge your adapter and your ethernet card and it should take off.

You need to disable internet sharing if you want to bridge, thats what the error is. Disable by going to properies>advanced
*XP user
Then select local internet connection and wireless and bridge them together.

He wants to feed the connection from the PC through ethernet to the 360, it is sorta like AD-hoc network except not really...
It SHOULD work if you just bridge the wireless and ethernet connection, but essentially what you are doing is turning your computer into a hub that recieves wireless 2.4GHz and feeds it through ethernet to the 360. Not at all impossible... search around, or wait for a better answer.

Looking at your pic, just select both at once, right click, and bridge.

You need to plug your ethernet cable from your Xbox into your PC first.

No. It would show his Ethernet (Local Area Connection) even if it wasn't plugged in yet. It would just say, "Disabled" or "Network cable unplugged."

Your ethernet card isn't even being recognized by your computer. Have you reformatted recently? Because it appears that if it's not showing up either:

- It's card is loose in your motherboard slot (happens if it's not soldered on the board)
Solution: Push it back in while computer is off. Very easy. But don't break it.

OR:

- You don't have drivers for it. Either load a drivers CD from your PC manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer in, or figure out what the exact model # is of the Ethernet card and download drivers from the manufacturer's website.

yeah this is how mine is set up i use wirless on my computer and i share my wireless connection to one of my ethernet port and run a cross over from the comp to my xbox it only takes a min to do but if you need to bridge your connection it's a little harder trying to bridge a wirless connection its usually not as simple as selecting two network cards and hitting bridge.

Click start, right click My computer and go to properties, click around the tabs until you reach device manager and take a pic and post.

Your wireless connection doesn't say its bridged.

My setup is not bridged. I just shared local and wireless connections.
Like so...

Windows firewall might need to be turned off if there is still problems.
