the MGS4 80 Gb is the better deal! i heard there's more backward compatibilty for 80gb ps3. where did u get that deal?

Actually no, all NEW PS3's won't have backwards compatibility, unless it is the MGS4 bundle or an older 80gb bundle, it won't play PS2 games, all of them play PS1 though, I really don't see why not, it's software emulation so they had no reason to take it off. Also the 40gb never had backwards compatibility for PS2 games.

I got a 40gb just for blu-ray, only a couple games on the PS3 interest me, but I have a modded 360 for that.

They're(MGS4 pack) on Ebay right now for BIN's $530-550 free shipping, so 25% off that plus the price can become even cheaper than $397 if you use a Ebay/Paypal coupon code. Just gotta wait.
