Default Slow Azz Interwebs

So my internet speed has been really slow lately like my max download from any major filehost like rapidshare, megaupload, apple.com/downloads, and several others is like 3mbps.

Im paying for 10mbps through Charter Comm. The weird thing is Speedtest.net is saying Im getting 30mbps+ and speedtest.charter.com is saying 13mbps. Anyone know a way o fix this. Again my max DL is like 3mbps

Thanks in advance

Are you paying for 10mB/s or 10mb/s? There is a difference. There are 8 megabits (mbs) in a megabyte (mB). If you are paying for 10mb/s, you should expect to be downloading at around 1.25mB/s.

As for the SpeedTest results being skewed, you may be testing on a server very close to you, but downloading from a server far away.
10 mbps or 10 mega-bits per second. I dont know why everyones hung up on the megaupload speed. ALL DOWNLOADS ARE SLOW...

Wrong, MU doesn't give you max speed without premium

Thats add I always get max speed on free.

Oh and my comment on mb versus mB was universal, not just directed towards MU speeds.
Just trying to help here.
