| Senior Member | Like imp said there is a huge difference, extra space isn't how it works. However if you got the money heres the best deal you're probably going to find: Team Fortress 2 Servers : Buy TF Server Hosting (rental) |

They are expensive. The community I admin at has 3 servers, not including webspace, and just that alone is about $500-$700 monthly. | |

Better off to get a virtual private server for better performance, either way if you want a good gaming server you will need to spend alot of money on a server or have a really nice home connection with stable upload speeds personally i think the latter option is the best for the common joe and for learning how to run a game server

| Senior Member | Lol $40 a month for a game server sounds reasonable.. considering over here in Aus we get them for like $50 /12 slot. I've run so many servers over the years, bought one once.. the rest I just hijacked from the owner The best way to make back the money is to charge for admin or something - little nerd gamers will pay for that sort of thing if your server is good enough.
