It's been happening from the beginning. They just have issues syncing up with the fulfilment company. I wouldn't worry much about it, it is almost always back within a day or two. worst was maybe 1-2 weeks during the big CL facelift.

I think this has a lot to do with airlines. They're thinking of taking out frequent fliers because they need money for gas. Quite sad.

Do you have a source for that statement? I know for a fact the major airlines AA and Delta will not be removing FF miles. What they do is void your account if they are unused within a certain period of time or they do what they are doing now and that is charge huge fees ontop of the FF redemptions. They now charge fuel surcharges on most flights, fees for redeeming too close to a deadline, more miles for different times of the year and yada yada. Removing them all together would be bad business, but lessening the impact of horrible management within US airlines by pawning it off to the consumers is even worse in my opinion. Gas prices are bad all over the world. If you fly in Europe it isn't half as bad, or even if you fly in China. It's all one way tickets in East Asia and even then it's still cheaper than buying roundtrip here in the US(+ the service is a million times better and the flight attendants are over 9000x better looking)

/end rant
