The apartment trick is after your home address and then 1/2, 1/3, 1/4.....etc, I think anyways

It's when you live in a House and you add Apt#(AnyNumber) to the End of it as if you lived in an apartment. An Apartment, is pretty much a GIANT HOUSE, with a bunch of the rooms for rent. So if you put an apartment number at the end of your house's address you could have an unlimited number of Fake Apartments to your house but you would still get the mail because your house isn't an apartment.

It's only speculation right now, a few people have gotten the email saying only 3 of each Software or Electronics when they used the apartment trick to order. They might've been stupid and re-used an address, no one really knows for sure. No one will probably know for sure until another week or so.

I don't think they can ever truly take it away unless they look up the address everytime and find out it its an apartment or not. I might try the room trick and put RM #1, RM #2 etc. Or the floor trick FL #1 etc..

I think it's fixed.

Its patched, try it yourself. If you don't live in apartments it wont even let you place the order. You can test it without ordering.. just start to order a prize and type your address and info in and press Continue. It does a check with USPS and if you don't live in apartments it will say your address isn't a valid one.

I tried everything, even in the second Address box. :thumbdown:

They wont even let me put "County Road" in my address. Also, they modify addresses that are input. It is almost like they are being fed into a Google Maps API, or something similar, because if I put in xxxx North xxx West it is parsed into xxxxN xxxW.

This is partially true.

I went to USPS's official website to see if it verified my address, and sure enough, My address Apt. #5 turns into

My name
My address Apartment 5
My City, My State Zipcode

Like BSoD said, they're using some sort of API that converts your address using the API's database.

Well i assumed it was USPS because it said "Postal Service" I dunno. :s
