Nope... If there was a 'North', it would be:

123 N Slashmolderpwns st.

And, that is how the USPS would validate it.

Any address with the letter stuck to the street address is actually short-hand for an appartment/suite designation. So, according to the postal system:

123N Slashmolderpwns st.

Is equivalent to:

123 Slashmolderpwns st., Apt N
123 Slashmolderpwns st., Ste N
