Default Paypal Disputes Help needed... :)

I have two paypal disputes in my account, and 50+ funds are held by these disputes from my account... I have responded to the disputes, but haven't had any response from the seller's side... This is cause, i know the seller, and he closed down the account already... So :

1. How much days does it take a dispute to automatically get cancelled ?
2. If it automatically gets cancelled, will i get my cash back ?

PS. It says temporary hold, on the cash details...

If the dispute continues without reply from the seller contact the dispute rep at Paypal let them know the information you know and they will resolve it.

If you discuss the dispute with them and show that the other person closed the account in order to prevent the return on the dispute Paypal should automatically reimburse you based on protection they provide.

Hope this helps

If I were you, I'd call them, tell them what they need to know and follow the steps required to end the disputes.

callin is the best way to get a problem solved because u get to talk to a real live rep that can get your side and all the info right away instead of it taking days for them to read it. most of the time if u stick with it on the phone they will close the disputes and credit u back within 12 hours. also if its a fraudulent company or u sold a virual item make sure u tell them this because they dont cover non tangible items....

From experience I know that it takes about 11 days for a dispute to automatically come to a closure.

If the other party does not respond within the 11 or so days, Paypal would close the dispute on your favor.

I know because I have had like 10 disputes and I always win. Either the other party didn't respond or because They were just trying to scam!!

Exactly! Whenever I call them on the phone the problem is usually solved then and there (or my question answered). Email/ physical mail takes FOREVER if you use it to work out a problem.

as everyone has stated even if its a pain in the ass to deal with phone reps, the issue will be resolved in mere hours rather than weeks/months as they usually get backlogged rather fast with email complaints. and with snail mail complaints they have a bad habit of letting it sit on a desk somewhere or pushing it off on someone else until it becomes lost in transit, all the while you're waiting for some sort of answer.
