I recently lost my ipod touch and I'm worried about the information on it. So I was wondering if I had an email attached to it and I changed the PW on my computer, would the ipod touch still be able to receive emails?

I know for sure if PW for myspace changes then it won't allow it...stuff like that.

if you change the password to the account, the ipod should be unable to retrieve any more emails.

The password is defined in the mail settings, so next time they try to retrieve new mail, it won't let them. However, I'm not sure about the emails that are already on the phone.

Well I think if I delete them then they shouldn't have them, same with ipod touch.

i think the emails are stored on the ipod touch until they are cleared. even if you delete them from the account, they may still be able to read them... temporarily at least.

If its a yahoo,msn,aol... ETC

Change the PW, and delete the emails

They wont see anything, its not like its a apple app, it connects to the given service

they are downloaded to the ipod and consider buying my ipod

I agree that they are probably cached on the ipid itself.

Well the emails were up to date so I'm guessing they will still have the emails that are already downloaded. I still deleted all of my emails just in case.

So for sure they won't receive new emails if I change the pw right?

Can somebody confirm one last thing?

With the new AIM for iphone/ipod touch, if you sign on and lose wifi or whatever, youre still logged in and will get IMs that were sent while you had no connectivity.

I was wondering can someone check for me if I change the PW for my AIM would it still send IMs to the ipod touch? Yeah...gotta be thorough with this shit, don't want information getting out.
