Reputation: 1 ![]() cBay Rating: | Just use eclipse, and get the book Java Concepts 5th edition, by cay horstmann, the book is so easy to learn off of, its my first week of college, and ive already picked up a lot on java, for the noob friendly part just youtube tutorials on using eclipse, its really not that hard, create project create class write program, oh yea Eclipse classic v3.5 or something like that would work the best Here's a written tutorial that my professor put up check it out http://www.ics.uci.edu/~thornton/ics...ingUpJava.html

Reputation: 33 ![]() cBay Rating: | I've used both eclipse and netbeans and I think eclipse is better for learning on since it is pretty simple, but if you are going to make a GUI you should use netbeans because it makes creating GUIs super easy. |
