I downgraded my vista to xp for gaming purposes, dualbooting with linux mint 7.

I don't like skinning my desktop because it considerably slows down computer.

I usually cycle through desktop backgrounds every couple of months or so, mostly pics I take myself for the last couple or years or so. I'm no wannabe photographer or anything, just when I see a scenic shot or something I like and wouldn't mind looking at more I take it. That's from the safeway parking lot in my hometown for my current background.

I couldn't stand that, if I don't use it more often than daily, it probably isn't on my desktop. Everything else I get from the start menu.

Still not as bad as my little brother though, his screen is ~ 95% covered in icons and shortcuts.
