So i just upgraded my sound system a bit

I got 2x12"s DB Drive Subs platinum series 1000watt RMS 2000watt max EACH
I got a crunch 2000w RMS amp
I made a ported subwoofer box
I got a 2 farad CAP and a display

and some 8guage wire and the shits.

I think i'm going to hook up my old 12"s to my room

Oh, they are going in my trunk. I'm going to attempt to get the amp mounted to the wall with the cap people can see it (i like the look of amps)

That showing wire is the bass knob, haven't run it to the front seeing as i'm getting a new car

well some rich white kid had the subs, they are like 300-500$ subs but the kid had them brand new for $100 for both

on craigslist. I saw the add and met him within an hour lol he pulled up in his BMW gave me 2 unopened subs.

I think the kid was selling them because he didnt know how to install it

It was like a dream

But also, i got the capacitor at a place by me called five star car stereo inc. They have VERY competitive prices probably the cheapest new caps and wiring kits you can find.

niceee im workon on my cars audio too, i jsut got a new head unit, now im saving up for the wires, amp, capasitor, subs, and another battery

No need for another battery unless you got like 3+ amps.

i would suggest running atleast 4guage wires... for that set up and possibly a better amp depending on how much ur planning on abusing it

i was thinking a smaller guage to but eh, Um the amp should do fine i dont really BLAST it so it'll probably be running 50% or less most of the time anyways.

Before all of you guys run out and buy things with the biggest numbers you can find, remember that a 500watt sub can still out perform a 1500 watt sub. The numbers honestly don't mean too much unless yo go with a good trusted brand, since there is no standard in audio that they are forced to follow.

Anyways, I'll post my picture after work, I guess it got deleted off of tinypic.

3 12" w1v2 JL Audio subs, and a Alpine MRP-M850 amp. A single 3 12" sub box for the subs.

So i'm almost done with it, I got the amp capacitor and 1 sub set up lmfao. The 2nd sub hasn't come in because of some bitch ass ebay person who doesn't give delivery confirmations and takes 029103920 days to deliver. I'm about to dispute, and just spend $75 more driving to buy it from an audio store a couple cities away.

Thats what I like mainly, but it is fun to blast them every so often.

I currently have 3 JL W1's, but the new setup will be 2 W3s and 1 W7 in the middle. They will be on different switches so just the W3s are going when I don't need the extreme bass.
