Let's get some sort of discussion going on.

I'm sure many have heard of the 2012 End of the World stuff, like how the Mayans predicted it, about "Planet X" hitting Earth, etc. What are your thoughts/opinions/predictions on this?

Please do not respond with pointless comments, please contribute some thought to your posts.

I don't think anything could hit the earth, because things can only move the fastest at the speed of light, and for sometihng to hit us, we would see it. The next thing to hit us would be in many many years and other then that, they are just small meteors in the sky that always hit the earth.

December 21st 2012 will be crazy whether its the end or not.

Because of all of this hype people are gonna go crazy.

People are gonna kill, steal, whatever they want to do.

No one will be safe.

I personally think something will be started in 2012 (presidential election, probably), that will eventually escalate into something bigger, like WW3 or something. But as for the end of the world, I think it will be December 31, 2068, cause that's when my iPod touch's calendar ends.

But LifeInHighDef, that looks like a good movie.

yea I saw that trailer while watching Transformers. Looks like a decent movie but it'll either be nonexistent or obsolete in 3 years.

Maybe, China doesn't really hate us anymore but they dont support us either. If N. Korea did some sort of bombing on our soil (nuclear or chemical) we would wipe them off the map. The US is weak (in my opinion) vs gorilla warfare but starting a nuclear war is just a death wish for the other country. We have enough nukes to blow up the world 5 times let alone just half the Korean peninsula. It has already been said that any chemical bombs let off against the US will cause us dropping a nuke. I'm also sure that we stop any type of food support to the N. Korean citizens and they are already dying of starvation.
