That's right, an image-based captcha system. It looks pretty effective.

This will not be that bad, it will be better. There cant be millions of different dog pictures, because they cant be generated like captchas are now.

Just have a database of dog pictures, then use ImageSearch or just a find pixel(s) function.

Well Moola.com is currently implementing this, and it seems the captcha images are being downloaded from adoptapet.com, meaning that pictures can really be unique. It would also be a pain to frequently download a database of thosuands of images to recognize it for use for captcha solving.
